Do You Have Time For a Story?

I was on my way to Tractor Supply in Magee, heading west on Hwy 28.

Suddenly, there he was heading East in the oncoming traffic.

I saw the blue lights on the top of the car begin to flash.

I looked down at my dash, and I was doing 70 on a 55 mph highway!

I looked in my rearview mirror and saw that he was turning around.

I immediately began looking for a safe place to pull over off the highway.

By the time he got back to me, I was stopped with my window down.

As he came up to my car, I smiled and said, "Good morning, I was doing 70 mph."

He grinned, said, "Good morning, yes, you were."

I said, "i have a heavy foot."

"I know that," he said.

Then, I said, "Do you have time for me to tell you a story?"

He replied, "Not really, you know I've gotta' go chase these fast drivers."

As he walked away, "You just slow down and be careful."

So, the moral to the story is, if you're speeding and get stopped, ask if they've got time to listen to a story!
